What size is the willow basket? #
The large willow baskets are approximately 32 cm diameter and 25 cm tall with 14 litres capacity. See our size guide here.
Which roses can be planted in the basket? #
You can choose any rose to be planted in our willow baskets, including bare root. We also have a selection of specially chosen pre-planted roses for a variety of occasions here. However, if you choose a climbing rose, please keep in mind they grow best in larger spaces and may need to be repotted sooner for the best growth.
How long can the rose stay in the basket? #
Our gift planted roses will be expertly prepared in a large 14L container with all the nutrients it needs to thrive. Larger roses such as hybrid teas or floribundas will be happy in the large willow basket for up to 2 years. More compact roses such as patio varieties may be happy for up to 5 years. After this time, or if it is outgrown, the rose will need to be replanted with fresh compost so it can thrive for many more years to come. Don’t forget to regularly feed and water your rose!
