As spring arrives and the weather warms, roses will be emerging from dormancy and starting to grow. Their stems will have been lightly pruned to encourage new growth, and leaves may start to appear. Roses grow at different rates, depending on variety, age, and weather conditions. Roses still need to be kept outside even if the temperatures fall.
Our Dream Rose
This ‘dreamy’ rose is a beautiful patio variety. Our Dream Rose produces large clusters of pale lemon-yellow flowers all season long. The small but wonderfully formed blooms have a delicate sweet fragrance, and are particularly attractive to bees. The beauty of the pale flowers are further highlighted by the bright glossy green foliage that creates a dense background.
Always seeming to be in flower, this rose has a bushy and compact growth. Healthy and hardy, it is also tolerant of poorer soils and has excellent disease resistance. The blooms also hold their colour and shape well even after bad weather. Perfect for a patio pot, Our Dream Rose would also be wonderful for low edging or the front of borders, and would make a stunning buttonhole flower.

Potted Patio Roses
Patio roses are compact bush roses, thus ideal for front borders and patio pots, and can be planted straight away.

How will my potted rose arrive?
Our roses are cut back for the Winter to promote root growth, thus will arrive with short but healthy stems between October and March. Roses in April and May would be expected to have new growth and leaves, and then between May and September buds and blooms. *Please note: These are estimates and can vary due to weather conditions and exact variety of rose.
Your rose will be in a large 5.5L container, which is recyclable and thus can be disposed of accordingly in your home recycling bin.
We take care to be as sustainable as possible here at English Roses, and so avoid single use plastics at all costs. Our packaging is therefore fully recyclable, even down to the strapping on our cardboard boxes. Our gift wrapping also contains natural materials, many of which can be repurposed and reused.

Rose bushes go through different stages of growth throughout the year. They will look different as they move from their dormant phase in the winter to being in full bloom during the summer. For more information on how a rose will look throughout the year, please see our growth guide.
Our standard container is 5.5L, or there is the option to upgrade to our large willow basket for a patio ready gift! All roses (except bare root) will be securely packaged into our specially designed box, and are delivered via DPD. More information on sizing and delivery can be found in our help guides.
Delivery and Contact
We offer tracked delivery to mainland UK (excluding highlands, islands & Northern Ireland) via DPD. Full tracking is provided on all orders, including updates on estimated delivery time.
Next day delivery is available on orders placed before 12pm midday on weekdays (weekends & 2-day Scotland service excluded). You can also choose your preferred delivery date at checkout, up to 60 days in advance.
Free delivery is available on orders £100+ (2-day Scotland service excluded).
