Queen Elizabeth Rose

The wonderful Queen Elizabeth Rose has become a popular choice for gardeners looking for a profusion of pink blooms. The buds develop a lovely mid-pink rounded flower. The blooms are large and supported on long stems that can even form a hedge. A great choice for novice or experienced gardeners. Bred by Walter Lammerts in 1954, this rose pays tribute to the late queen’s ascension to the throne.

Healthy and hardy, Queen Elizabeth Rose will thrive in the most inhospitable spots Dark green leaves contrast wonderfully against the pink petals. Known as the first Grandiflora rose developed – roses that are a cross between a hybrid tea-rose and a floribunda. Tall and beautiful, this rose would be stunning at the back of borders and against fences and walls.

Potted Grandiflora Roses

Grandiflora roses blend the large and shapely blooms of a Hybrid Tea with the abundant clusters of a Floribunda. They are tall, bushy, and ideal for back of borders or growing alongside fences or hedges. The magnificent blooms are a wonderful choice for using in cut displays, bringing the joy indoors.

How will my potted rose arrive?

Our roses are cut back for the Winter to promote root growth, thus will arrive with short but healthy stems between October and March. Roses in April and May would be expected to have new growth and leaves, and then between May and September buds and blooms. *Please note: These are estimates and can vary due to weather conditions and exact variety of rose.

Your rose will be in a large 5.5L container, which is recyclable and thus can be disposed of accordingly in your home recycling bin.

We take care to be as sustainable as possible here at English Roses, and so avoid single use plastics at all costs. Our packaging is therefore fully recyclable, even down to the strapping on our cardboard boxes. Our gift wrapping also contains natural materials, many of which can be repurposed and reused.

Size and Season Information

Rose bushes go through different stages of growth throughout the year. They will look different as they move from their dormant phase in the winter to being in full bloom during the summer. For more information on how a rose will look throughout the year, please see our growth guide.

Our standard container is 5.5L, or there is the option to upgrade to our large willow basket for a patio ready gift! All roses (except bare root) will be securely packaged into our specially designed box, and are delivered via DPD. More information on sizing and delivery can be found in our help guides.

We offer tracked delivery to mainland UK (excluding highlands, islands & Northern Ireland) via DPD. Full tracking is provided on all orders, including updates on estimated delivery time.

Next day delivery is available on orders placed before 12pm midday on weekdays (weekends & 2-day Scotland service excluded). You can also choose your preferred delivery date at checkout, up to 60 days in advance.

Free delivery is available on orders £100+ (2-day Scotland service excluded).
