Sustainable Gift Bags
Our gift bags are made from 100% cotton which is a long lasting and sustainable fabric. Here at English Roses, we don’t use harmful single plastic bags. Instead, we offer these luxury drawstring cotton bags that are reusable, durable and compostable! Made from natural fibres, the fabric contains the odd fleck of coloured thread, giving it a luxurious natural feel.
After your rose has been given to the recipient, the durable drawstring bag can then be repurposed for a multitude of uses. When you want to dispose of your bag, they are easily compostable. Simply just cut or tear the bag into smaller pieces and put in your compost bin to break down naturally.
Care Instructions
Our drawstring bags are made from 100% Cotton. To keep your bags looking bright and fresh, it is recommended to gently hand wash them. Then, simply dry the bags separately, in shape, and laid flat. You can also use a warm iron to flatten the fabric to get rid of any creases. Please note: when washing the bags, slight shrinkage can occur. Additionally, there is a small chance of minor colour transfer from dyed bags.

As spring arrives and the weather warms, roses will be emerging from dormancy and starting to grow. Their stems will have been lightly pruned to encourage new growth, and leaves may start to appear. Roses grow at different rates, depending on variety, age, and weather conditions. Roses still need to be kept outside even if the temperatures fall.
Rose bushes go through different stages of growth throughout the year. They will look different as they move from their dormant phase in the winter to being in full bloom during the summer. For more information on how a rose will look throughout the year, please see our growth guide.
Our standard container is 5.5L, or there is the option to upgrade to our large willow basket for a patio ready gift! All roses (except bare root) will be securely packaged into our specially designed box, and are delivered via DPD. More information on sizing and delivery can be found in our help guides.
Delivery and Contact
We offer tracked delivery to mainland UK (excluding highlands, islands & Northern Ireland) via DPD. Full tracking is provided on all orders, including updates on estimated delivery time.
Next day delivery is available on orders placed before 12pm midday on weekdays (weekends & 2-day Scotland service excluded). You can also choose your preferred delivery date at checkout, up to 60 days in advance.
Free delivery is available on orders £100+ (2-day Scotland service excluded).
